Circus-type shows can be traced back to Roman times, but traveling circus shows existed during the Middle Ages of Europe. The circus as it is known today was developed in England. For years, large American circuses such as Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus performed their acts in huge tents; the largest housed the biggest attractions and was called the big top. Today, most large circuses perform at indoor locations. 2754 Cherokee Strip Settlers 2755 Dean Acheson Statesman 2754 2755 29¢ Cherokee Strip...... 29¢ Dean Acheson ..... 1.20 1.50 .20 .25 2756-59 Sport Horses 2756-59 29¢ Sports Horses4 Stamps..................... 7.25 2.25 2756 29¢ Steeplechase........ 1.75 .60 2757 29¢ Thoroughbred ....... 2.50 .60 2758 29¢ Harness ................ 1.75 .60 2759 29¢ Polo....................... 1.75 .60
